FEP was hired to provide energy advisory services, including independent advice with regard to the company’s annual planning process and incentive-based pay programs. During the Energy Future Holdings restructuring, FEP professionals provided the following services:

Worked closely with EFH management to review and refine the company’s short- and long-term business plans.
Provided independent assessments of business plans to the company and the bankruptcy court throughout the EFH restructuring, which took nearly three years to complete.
Developed independent EBITDA projections that supported the bankruptcy court’s review of the business plans throughout the case.

Assisted Luminant with the development of cost rationalization plans that supported and enhanced Luminant’s proposed cost reductions, deferrals of capital expenditures, and operational optimization initiatives.
Applied our proprietary retail electric market model to independently analyze TXU Energy’s business plans and projections of customer acquisition and retention rates, margins, energy supply costs, and corporate support expenses.
Provided expert opinion reports in support of the EFH restructuring.
